FAQs

Why is your Shea Butter yellow?

Our Yellow Shea Butter is pure unrefined shea butter with one additional
ingredient, the extract of the African Borututu Tree, which has been used by African natives for centuries to help with soothing the skin.

Why is the texture of my Shea Butter different to my previous order?

Though we maintain consistency as much as possible by using the same process for each batch, our natural ingredients are grown and take from nature. Due to this, the consistency will differ from one batch to the other as the shea nuts are collected from different trees, this will play a part in the way how your body butter feels. Once the body butter touches the skin,
it will melt and will be exactly the same.

Why is my Shea Butter hard?

Shea butter is very is very sensitive to temperature changes. It melts when exposed to heat and hardens when exposed to cold temperatures. The best way to store shea butter is normally in temperatures between 18-23 degrees.

My whipped body butter melted. What do I do?

Don't panic. Refrigerate your butter for about 20 minutes. It will solidify. The texture will change, but the nourishing value remains the same.

My skin has started to go red what should I do?

What is the shelf life of your products?

Pure unrefined Shea Butter has a shelf life of around 12 to 37 months. We advise
that you store your products away from water or any liquids. We also advise not to use wet hands when using our shea butter as this will make your shea butter start to detoriate and cause the body butter to grow mould.
